In case of maintenance the operators will always indicate on the ww.jaber.lu web site the maintenance phase. So please always check the news page to get the the jabber server status.
Solution -1- : " use an instant messaging software. "
The process is explain into the account creation page. Due to some particular setup, here is what you need to do depending on your local connection. There are two cases:
- case 1 : You are connected at home or into a network WITHOUT outgoing filtering restrictions:
- the jabber name server is: "im.jabber.lu"
- the TCP port number is : 5222 ( default one ) - ( you can force TLS encryption. )
- case 2 : You are connected in a network managed by a network administrator who have closed outgoing TCP connection on jabber default TCP ports: ( ask you local network administrator for further information and do the following ONLY with his approbation. )
Important notice : This "case 2" if used can be done ONLY with the network proprietary approbation. It can help you if you are blocked with your computer and not able to unlock it. We can not be responsible of the eventual abusive used that you do of this method to acces jabber free services.
Solution -2- : " use a web browser and nothing else. "
You can create your free fabber account the http jabber system provide by our server. If your account do not exist you just have to:
- choose a login ( the part before the @jabber.lu )
- enter a password ( at least 8 characters )
- tick the "Register New Account" option.
- press login button.
